1. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small data files a website can store in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that can retain a value without sending it automatically with every request. Under Irish ePrivacy rules, non-essential storage or access normally requires consent. Necessary storage used solely to provide a requested function may be exempt.
2. Storage used on the public website
The website does not load Google Analytics until you accept analytics. No advertising category is enabled. Cookie names below come from the configured GA4 implementation and Google’s published GA4 cookie behaviour.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
safenurse_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage) | SafeNurse | Records analytics choice, decision time, expiry and schema version | Necessary | 180 days after the choice, unless replaced or browser storage is cleared. | First party |
_ga | Google Analytics for SafeNurse | Distinguishes users for website measurement | Analytics | Up to 2 years under the configured Google default, subject to browser limits | First-party cookie set by third-party Google code |
_ga_KWE0QLT2G9 | Google Analytics for SafeNurse | Persists session state for measurement ID G-KWE0QLT2G9 | Analytics | Up to 2 years under the configured Google default, subject to browser limits | First-party cookie set by third-party Google code |
Google Analytics may send measurement information to Google after consent. Analytics property settings, provider contracts and international-transfer safeguards still require confirmation.
3. Your choices
On your first visit, choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences. Analytics is unticked and denied by default. Both primary choices have equal prominence and the website remains available if you reject analytics.
Use the control in the footer at any time. Withdrawal prevents future analytics collection in this browser and the control attempts to remove the two named analytics cookies. It cannot recall data already lawfully sent, clear data in another browser, or remove cookies blocked from JavaScript access. Browser controls can also clear site data.
4. Separate app browser storage
The unreleased Cordova app code uses local storage entries named safenurse_token, safenurse_safety_state, safenurse_content_cache_v1 and safenurse_content_checked_at. They hold an API credential; active-session, location, relationship, alert, PIN-hash and ICE-contact state; cached help content; and the last update-check time. These are functional app storage, not public-website analytics. Their lifetimes are not configured, apart from the server-side bearer session’s 14-day expiry. The mobile privacy notice and secure-storage design must be completed before release.
5. Changes and contact
We will update this table when storage or providers change. Effective date and version appear above. Contact hello@safenurse.ie with questions. See also the Privacy Policy.
