1. About these terms
These terms are between you and Think X Intelligent Systems LTD, trading as SafeNurse, company number 706889, registered at Currygrane, Ballinalee, Co. Longford, N39 AE76, Ireland. Contact: hello@safenurse.ie.
By using the service you agree to these terms. If an organisation has a separate written agreement with SafeNurse, that agreement controls to the extent of conflict. These terms are general information and do not constitute legal advice.
2. Who may use SafeNurse
SafeNurse is intended for nurses, carers, community healthcare professionals, their authorised managers and other approved lone-worker participants. You must be at least 16 to use SafeNurse. You must have legal capacity to accept these terms. If mandatory consumer rights apply, nothing here limits them.
3. Accounts and organisations
You must provide accurate, current information, use a strong unique password, protect your device and credentials, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from our breach of duty.
If you register, administer or request access for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so. Customer organisations are responsible for authorised users, appropriate access reviews, staff transparency, a lawful basis for workforce processing, risk assessments, training, supervision and compliant escalation procedures.
4. Safety-critical limitations
If immediate emergency assistance is required, contact 112 or 999 directly when it is safe and possible to do so.
- SafeNurse does not replace 112 or 999, an employer’s lone-worker risk assessment, safety policy, supervision, emergency procedures or legal duties.
- An alert is not a guarantee that a manager, trusted contact, emergency service or anyone else will receive, see or act on it.
- GPS accuracy, permissions, mobile networks, internet connectivity, notification services, operating-system restrictions, device compatibility and battery status can delay or prevent operation.
- Users must keep devices charged, connected, updated and appropriately configured, verify the displayed location, keep alternative contact methods available, and follow organisational procedures.
- The present implementation provides in-app alerts only. SMS, WhatsApp, Signal, telephone and push delivery are not evidenced as operational. A missed check-in changes an on-screen timer only and does not automatically escalate.
Location may be unavailable, stale or inaccurate, and manually entered Eircodes or coordinates may contain errors. Do not wait for SafeNurse when urgent direct action is needed.
5. Managers, trusted contacts and access
A professional or manager may request a relationship, but the other person must approve it before new alerts are shared. Access may be revoked. Managers and trusted contacts must request access only where authorised, protect information they receive, monitor through their organisation’s real procedures, and take appropriate independent action. They must not imply that an in-app acknowledgement is a telephone call or emergency-services response.
Customers must review access regularly. Revocation stops inclusion in future alerts; it may not erase historical records already shared or required for accountability.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse SafeNurse, break the law, endanger anyone, impersonate others, submit false alerts, harass users, access data without authority, bypass safeguards, probe or disrupt systems, introduce malicious code, scrape the service, reverse engineer except where law permits, or use the service to conduct covert or disproportionate monitoring. Do not put unnecessary clinical or special-category detail in free-text fields.
7. Operational data, confidentiality and intellectual property
You retain rights in information you lawfully provide. You grant SafeNurse the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit and display it to provide, secure and support the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and any customer data-processing agreement. You must have authority to provide other people’s details.
The SafeNurse service, branding, designs, documentation and software are owned by SafeNurse or its licensors and protected by law. These terms give only a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. Each party must protect confidential information and may disclose it where law requires.
8. Pricing, subscriptions and preview status
The repository contains no pricing, payment, subscription, renewal, trial or cancellation flow, so these terms do not create one. The mobile applications and some functions are described as in preparation or preview. Any paid plan, trial or consumer purchase must be covered by clear order terms—including total price, renewal, cancellation and statutory rights—before being offered.
9. Availability, maintenance and third parties
We may maintain, improve or change the service and will use reasonable care in doing so. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Material reductions should be handled under any customer agreement and applicable law.
SafeNurse depends on devices, operating systems, GPS, networks, hosting and other third-party services we do not fully control. Third-party terms may apply. Store badges are currently inactive placeholders and do not promise an app-release date or store acceptance.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, suspected misuse, legal compliance, protection of people or systems, or a material breach, taking proportionality and any customer agreement into account. You may stop using the public website at any time. Account termination, export and deletion processes—and any paid cancellation terms—must be defined before production operation. Clauses intended by their nature to survive termination do so.
11. Warranties and liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care where the law requires. Subject to those duties, the service is provided on an “as available” basis and safety outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that Irish law does not permit us to exclude.
Any further financial cap, exclusion of indirect loss, business-only indemnity or allocation of safety-critical loss must be proportionate, set in the applicable customer contract and approved by Irish counsel. No unsupported cap or broad user indemnity is imposed here. Consumers retain all mandatory remedies.
12. General terms
We may update these terms for legal, security or service reasons, with reasonable notice of material changes where appropriate. Continued use after an effective change means acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
You may not assign contractual rights without consent, except where law allows. We may assign them as part of a genuine reorganisation or transfer without reducing consumer rights. If a term is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Delay in enforcement is not a waiver. These terms and any referenced customer agreement form the entire agreement about their subject matter.
Irish law governs these terms and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights to use another applicable law or court. Contact hello@safenurse.ie. Formal Irish legal and data-protection review is required before production launch.
